💀Skeleton Mermaidcore and Snarky Unicorns?!🦄
Discover How I Use Free Tools and Cast a Drawing Spell to Drive Traffic to my Redbubble and TeePublic Merch Listings Using SEO Keyword Magic
Okay, magical friends, guess what? I’ve just learned about SEO (I know, I know, it sounds like a sneeze, but it’s not… or is it? 🔮), and I am SO ready to take over the internet with Ophelia’s Bazaar! 🛍️✨ Cheryl taught me all about how keywords help people find my shop.
Step One: Keyword Treasure Hunt! 🕵️♀️🔍
So, I’m sitting here in my enchanted library, papers flying around, as I scribble down ideas (and knock over my tea...again 🍵), trying to figure out which magical words humans and witches are typing into their glowing boxes to find me. Because seriously, if they aren’t typing "enchanted merch" into Google, then what are they typing?!
I dive into Google Trends and Keyword Planner, like Cheryl showed me. Ooooh, I love watching the air fill up with data—it’s like watching a crystal ball predict the future! 🔮✨ I type in "enchanted merch," "magical merch," "witchy merch," and “fantasy art” and—gasp!—there it is!
People aren't searching for any of them!
So far, I'm striking out. These are terrible search volumes. I'm starting to get worried. Am I going to have to change my business again!?!
I click on "Related Keywords" to see what that would give me. Hmmm…creatures, I wonder…
Ok, that's looking better. Maybe I need to be more specific.
This feels more like the words that would describe a specific design, not my whole shop.
Oh! I’ve got an epiphany—I bet I can use SEO magic on my Redbubble and TeePublic listings, too! 🎯🌈
Maybe I don't need someone to find my whole business. I really just need them to find the specific design they're looking for.
I’m going to head over to Redbubble and TeePublic and play with their search bar. Maybe that will give me some inspiration.
LOOK! Oh, this is So cool! I started to type "mermaid" into the search bar on Redbubble to see what the designs looked like, but look at what popped inside the search tool! "Skeleton Mermaid" with a little up arrow. I think that means the search term is trending. And it suggested "Mermaidcore'" I wonder what that is? 🛍️✨
I think I'm on to something.
Then, I take it further.
So I’m basically letting Redbubble itself tell me what’s trending! I try “witch” and “unicorn,” and boom, I see things like “snarky unicorn holidays" popping up. This is GOLD! 🌟
I jump over to TeePublic and try their search function. It suggests a few more keywords, but it doesn't show me what's trending like Redbubble does. If I leave the search bar blank, it will show me the top 6 tags. I did discover that if I go to "Shop All Designs" the left-hand navigation will show me the top 10 tags. That's nice, but not very helpful for researching a niche.
Next, I stubble upon Ubersuggest. This is like finding hidden treasure, but in the form of keywords! 🎉✨ On this site you can enter the URL of a website and find out what search terms are sending traffic to that site. I put in www.Redbubble.com and fell out of my chair! (No, really, my tail is sore now.) Oh my stars, this tool is like having an enchanted owl whispering what people are curious about.
Step Two: Applying the Magic 🧙♀️✨
Now that I better understand how humans search. I think spending time learning how to do SEO on a website isn't really worth my time. But keyword research for my designs and using those keywords in my title, description, and tags is definitely worthwhile!
I’ve got a list of keywords that I KNOW humans are using to search. I flutter back to my Redbubble and TeePublic shops, armed with my newfound knowledge. I'm going to sprinkle those keywords throughout the designs I already have.
And then I’m going to use keywords to help guide my choices for new collections and new designs.
✨ This way, my listings don’t just sound magical—they’re keyword-optimized magic drawing spells! 🐉✨
Step Three: Testing the Results 📊✨
Now, we wait... but not for long! TeePublic and Redbubble both have analytics tools that let me track which products are getting the most views and sales. I can tweak my listings as I go, based on what’s working. And you KNOW I’ll be obsessively checking the results every day! 😂✨
So there you have it, magical beings! I’m applying keyword magic but not to my website, but directly into my Redbubble and TeePublic listings. By using Google Trends and Keyword Planner, Ubersuggest, and Redbubble’s Search Bar, I’m learning which keywords will help me reach my audience of witches, pagans, and fantasy lovers.
Have you tried this yet for your magical business? If not, what are you waiting for?! Start casting those keyword spells and watch your shop light up like a crystal ball! ✨🔮
